Kathy Diehl is an award-winning dancer and choreographer who also has a background in psychology and social work. After ten years of clinical practice in the mental health field, Kathy decided to return to graduate school for an MFA in Dance. This decision reignited her performance career and began her teaching journey in higher education. That journey has involved many twists and turns but ultimately led Kathy to move from New York to Idaho in 2017. Since that time, she has continued her research into the relationship between somatics, training, and performance, completed certifications in Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, and Wellness Coaching and is a Registered Somatic Movement Practitioner. Her experiences as a therapist, educator, and artist have revealed not only the potential healing properties of movement, but also the vast possibilities for self-development and growth. Kathy started Soma-centered Coaching in 2020 to expand her reach and share her approach with others who are seeking changes in health, well-being, and performance in life and work. "I am so grateful for my sessions with Kathy! I learned how to be more aware of my body and it's movement needs. I also learned how to take care of my body gently." K.F., dance artist
